Retail Therapy and Paris!!!

Did I mention retail therapy??

The big summer sales finished here last week so I rushed out on Friday afternoon, and came into town again on Saturday for the Markets and shops... Success!!

I bought...
  • a handbag
  • wallet
  • two dresses (one for day and one for evening!)
  • sandals
  • a pair of shorts
  • a skirt
  • two shirts for work (very cool!)
  • not to mention olives, bread, saucisson, wine and fruit!!

The therapy was successful - what a great day! Amazingly I found out yesterday that one of the other girls in my class also bought the same cream silk evening dress from the same shop - she is young and chic so I must be doing something right!!

I had a quiet day at home on Sunday - slept in, arvo sleep and some extra revision in the shade by the pool. Swam a kilometre and watched the chukkas! I have games for my personal entertainment on my polo field each Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday. I'm having fun taking action photos and am slowly learning the rules... very slowly!

I must make sure I have a ride before I come home, bit scared as I haven't ridden a horse for years, and these guys are pretty big - not the little ponies I remember!!!

My friend is coming to meet me in Paris on Friday night and I am very excited!! I have booked my return tickets on the TGV - got a great price, but will have to bolt for the train after school on Friday... And I bought her ticket from Paris to Aix. I've also booked our four nights accomodation in Paris - in the 13th arrondissement so within the cool circle but not too expensive!! so exciting!! look out shops, here I come!

We had some rain here yesterday for the second time since I've been here. Of course since I bought an umbrella (paraplui) yesterday afternoon it stopped raining after that! The thunder was pretty impressive during the night - I thought someone was backing a truck full of rocks up to my cabinon!!

I did my last petit presentation at school today - I did the Australian desert (red kangaroo and dingo), the rainforest (cassowary and ulysses butterfly) and the great barrier reef (fishies and coral). It went pretty well, but I'm glad its over!
